I have a 2in or so female true percula clown who has been the boss of my tank since day one. She has never actually beat up any other fish but she is sure to let them know she is there and that it was her tank first.
Yesterday I added a med sized, about 3in, yellow tang to the tank. When I dropped it out of the net from acclimation she did her normal charge to introduce her self to the new guy. The tang hit the water, did a shake to get itself upright, about that point the clown reached it, the tang flared its fins making it look about double her size(it does out weigh her) and just looked at her. She froze, then swam to the front glass where I was and started shaking her head at me, like she was scolding me for adding a fish to the tank that was too big for her to bully.
