Well, imho, I would take the new fish back or trade for corals or whatever else you may need because 30 gallons is just about enough room for the fish you had in there before adding the new guy, especially with a mated pair of clowns, they're very territorial. I think doing this would save you a lot of headaches, and the loss of a fish... How much live rock do you have in your tank? That's something to consider also with territorial fish, if you have a smaller tank like we do (mine's a 55 gal) if there are plenty of caves and/or rock work the territorial fish are a little more laid back since there are so many 'territories'.
