What I have right now, is two Hydor Koralia #4’s on opposite sides of the tank, and my return comes out the middle, and that has two little direction bendy arm things that I can move around…

Problem: I am getting detritus (snail poop mostly!) build-up in some areas of the tank… I have tried moving the two #4’s all over the place to get at the spots where it settles… should I add another power head? If so… what kind/how much more? Seems like I already have a lot going in my 120gal set-up, but maybe I need more?? Opinions??
Its the same problem over and over and over. Its not the amount of flow you have...its good flow where you need it. With all the LR and corals we cram into these tanks its hard to get flow to all areas of the tank, thats why you see all the interest in the various spraybars people install before anything goes into the tank.

Its just something you have to figure out for your specific conditions. I have never seen a tank yet that kept all detritus in the water column untill it went out the overflow. If you can direct your flow to collect the detritus in an easy to reach corner so you can syphon it out every week that would be good also. Very common for reefers to set up their maintanence regime that way. Also want to blow that "snail poop" off the LR everyonce in a while.

Between the 2 Koralias and your return pump you have enough "flow" and adding more probably wont hurt anything except just another pump in the tank. Might want to try one of the diverters Koralia makes. Putting those on your 2 PH could make a world of difference!
