Hi, seems as if the new salt is problem. If you can take some of the pre made water to lfs and let them test for calc. and compare to your reading, could be the kit you are using has gone off. And yes, the calc does affect the alk and also you should be checking magnesium as this affects the two so have them check your mag levels.
