That is a very common practice and very advisable. I personally do it and so do some others posting in this thread.

The only thing I think this article leaves out that is of importance is the use of hyposalinity in a QT for the irradication of Ich. I personally do not like copper treatments unless the species of fish Im putting in the display is a bad candidate for hyposalinity. Then again running hypo is a little more difficult than dosing copper and may not be for everyone.
