I know you got your answer regarding lighting, but I would go with T5's. They are good for softies to sps. I would go with a 8 bulb setup over that size tank.
I'm a vortech guy and have two in my 75. I highly recommend them.... checkout blu23girl's thread on them.
William, I heard the hydor controller is not compatable with the old pumps.
