Those are indeed hydroids, have had them on frags of coral I have bought from a certain LFS. They quickly spread across the LR and onto the substrate.... He ended up restarting that tank from scratch... Luckily, the bit that came on my frags (they were 5 dollars, couldnt pass it up), has not spread at all, maybe a little growth but thats about it. I'm sure proper water params have something to do with it. Just keep an eye on it... if it starts to grow, pull the rock out and nuke it. |
