Re: marine beta I just remembered, they probably will eat any pods you have in your tank too, I wonder if he's eating those mostly at night! The pods don't usually come out till the tank is dark, then they'll start wandering the tank for food, which is funny because I'm willing to bet $ that they're what the betta's eating! Is he looking underfed or does he look healthy, just not eating when you feed?
I've heard somewhere on this site that if you put a red light on the tank when it's dark, nocturnal things won't be scared away mostly.... maybe you can see what your betta's doing in the dark with a red light? Let us know!
