Ive had all my snails since the beginning 5 Mex turbo, 5 Astrea & 2 redfoot. I lost 2 astreas to hermits looking for bigger shell, other than that all have been in good health for about 5-6 months now. and i don't clean the back glass, but i have a black background so u can't see the algae unless you look real hard
