Yes.....a relative newbie here! I've actually had my tank for about 2 years now, but honestly still consider myself quite the newbie as I have not studied as much as I know I could/should have. I've tried to keep things as simple as possible so I don't wind up making any expensive mistakes...cheap ones I can afford! lol
I've been reading lots of old posts, and have actually been trying to read some here and there over the past year. I just haven't really been involved much.

Sorry gang.....there is just sooooo much to read!! lol
I neglected to mention in my first post that it is a 38gal tank that I have. I am running it with a Marineland cannister C-220, a Seaclone 100 skimmer and I have a small powerhead inside for more flow. Levels have been consistently good forever except my nitrates have always remained in the 30 range. This is what led me to attempt a DIY refugium, which I posted about in the DIY thread with a few questions....tho now after reading it again and thinking some more I do think I posted the flow rate higher than what it actually is. I think the rate of flow is a lot closer to 100gph as opposed to the 380 I wrote. Anyway.....if anyone has any advice about it I'd be eternally grateful!
I am fortunate to have a local shop that has been very helpful with advice, and they really have an extensive array of reef tanks in their store so I have to think they know what they're doing.
Anyway......thanks for the welcome!
