That leaves the tank with 1 Hippo Tang, 2 Firefish, 1 Damsel, 1 Banggai, and 1 cleaner skunk.

I am thinking about tearing the tank apart, pulling the damsel and Hippo out for some less territorial fish. I really like the Hippo so might keep him in Quarantine until I have acclimated some less dominating fish to the mix.

Looking for suggestions please, and maybe even a pep talk. lol
I hate to hear that. I wanted a Hippo tang as well but the LFS said he has horrible luck trying to get them in and keep them healthy. I went with a Sailfin Tang and he was my last addition to the tank. He already has stolen the Foxface's hideout and set himself up as boss in the tank. So far the aggression has been minimal but he definitely took over.
I've had great luck with a Melanorus(?) Wrasse and a Flame Angel fish and my tang seems to ignore both of them. So far the main agression I see is flareups between him and the Foxface but both seem to get to the seaweed clip and get their share. I remember the LFS suggesting I add my tang last so their might be sound reasoning towards putting him out of the tank, adding some new fish, re-arranging the main tank a bit and then re-introducing him?
I know if I had a healthy Hippo that I would find someway to make it work. They are incredible looking fish. Hang in there!
