I agree. Mushrooms don't need anything specific to survive so I wouldn't start adding any additives. Let the tank cycle and don't worry about adding anything or you could make the cycle spikes worse. One exception would be that you could get the alk and calcium levels adjusted, but even that isn't necessary.
