Ian you need to silicone your baffles into place. When you do this give the acrylic about 1/8 to 1/4 in on each side as room to expand. I have seen it done where people put there bead on silicon onto the sump wall. They then push the baffle up to the bead of silicone. That way you acrylic can expand without breaking the glass and you are sure it won't go anywhere. Also be sure to use aquarium approved silicone.
