Hi. So I am new to the site. I introduced myself in the new members section but Thought I would introduce myself and the tank here. I have a 90 gallon reef tank, sump, compact flors, etc....
It was previously a fish only tank with nice mature rabbitfish, angels, eel... etc... and then disaster hit about 6 months ago. I was out of town for a week. Had someone coming over every couple of days to feed my fishes. I guess after she left from here after feeding one day some neighborhood kids though it would be fun to turn off our main power switch. needless to say when my person coming to feed came back the house was without power and all my precious babies were floaing. It was devistating.
After cleaning everything up. I decided to do the tank this time as a docile fish reef tank. I decided to stick with softies and such since I dont currently have halides. And i tend to prefer the softies anyway.
So the rebuilding process began and now is looking like a fish tank again. I currently have several types of zoos, mushrooms, lettuce sponge, orange frilly sponge, star polyps, gorgoinia, and one large ritteri.
As far as fish go i have 3 cardinals, 3 lyretail anthias, two true percs, potters leopard wrasse, yellow goby, citron clown goby, pygmy cherub angel, midas blenny, green mandarin, and a many banded pipefish. I also have a potters leopard wrasse and a midas blenny which i couldnt get a pic of. I am happy with all my fish. I know the gobies are usually inexpensive but they are some of my favoirtes, they just are so cute, they make me smile.
I also have a mated pair of banded coral shrimp, a few serpent stars (but you never see them), a few peppermint shrimp, and some blue legged crabs.
My rock work is in progress. I am working on building up the two sides of the tank. So the look will probalby change a bit in the next few months. waiting for some live rock to come in next week through a guy here. so exciting...
Well i think thats about it for now. Just thought i would introduce myself and my tank. Looking forward to getting to know you all.
Ive attached photos of my tank and some of the inhabitants.
