Hey Buddy! Those lights are just fine for use, but get the "daylight" as they are either 6400K or 6500K depending upon the brand. Not only are those lights great for a refuge but I also use them over my coral display tank as the main lighting system that runs for 12 hours a day, the single 250w MH that I have is used to simulate the "high noon" effect as found in nature (9am-2pm).
