I have a Sailfin tang and recently added a Hippo tang to a 75 gallon fish only aquarium, and the Sailfin went straight after her. I have a lot of live rock so the Hippo is able to hide from him, but once she comes out he darts straight at her. I've heard about introducing them at the same time and I've also heard about keeping them in odd numbers. Tangs are funny they just kinda do what they want. I've seen a Yellow and a Sailfin together in one tank perfectly fine and then you could take the Sailfin out and put it in a different tank with a different Yellow and they will fight. I've also seen Tangs in even numbers so it just has a lot to do with size, the kind of tang, and when you introduce them I think. I'm going to possibly try and add another similar sized tang to the tank and see how it goes. Most likely a Naso. Are there any recommendations or advice? Or should I just wait and monitor and see if they settle down?
