Re: Tangs....tangs and more Tangs!! Just an update...
In my 280g tank thus far I have a Vlamingii(18cm), Hippo (12cm)and Red sea Sailfin tang(14cm). The Vlamingii is the ruler of the 10ft as he was my first fish and had the whole tank to itself for two whole weeks.
When I introduced the Hippo and Sailfin at the same time, it ignored the hippo and went straight for the Sailfin. The fighting has subsided over the past week or so, but i tell you what that sailfin can holds it own and with all that intimidation, it still goes for that nori on the veggie clip even if the vlamingii is there.
Next fish is the yellow and lipstick tang. I have been told that I should buy them much smaller and introduce them at the same time, so if there is any intimidation from the current inhabitants, it will be spread 50/50 amongst them(if the one gets chased, the other can take a break) and they will be able to hide in crevices the bigger ones cannot get to.
GO TANGS!
