Default anemone not moving

hi i just introduced an anemone to my tank and it is not moving at all even if it gets knocked over. is it going to be ok? will it start to move soon? i am not sure the exact kind but it has an orange base with purple/gray tentacles

Lets start with: was the nem attached at the LFS? If so did they rip the foot while removing it? Secondly a heathly nem should have good color, mouth should be closed, responsive, sticky to the touch. Try placing the nem on a rock where his foot might set inside a crevise. Turn off your power heads for a little while and see what happens but try not to stess him out any more than he is.

he was attached at the fish store and i don't believe his foot ripped because it looks normal. i tried to put him on a rock so hopefully he attaches although it has been a day and i don't think he has

Is his mouth open or closed? I had a nem that took over a week to attach. He was not doing so well but came around to be a really nice nem.

Throw a list of your parameters out here for us to look at. Is he still just laying there. How much flow is in the tank?

Probably would be wise to get your nitrates down. A water change may help with that.

If you can post a photo it would help too.
How long has your tank been up, they need a mature system.
How did you acclimate it?
