| Clownfish can and will defend their hosted territories against much larger fish, no matter the species. They will sometimes even try nipping at your hand if you get to close (even though it doesn't hurt .) Emperor Angelfish usually will not go after an anemone for a snack, mainly because instincts warn them about the hostility of stinging tentacles. They usually do prefer more spongy corals. And yes, two clowns over one would defend (and even feed) the anemone from predators, although I don't think you would have to worry with an Emperor Angel.
