Default Clownfish ok ?

Ive just got my first pair of tank bred clowns (1 day ago) (tanks been setup for 5 weeks now) after having a water check and being told its all fine ive got all the normal stuff for a new start marine setup live rock, a good filteration system, salt levels are at 1.024,0 ammonia, nitrite and nitrate PH is at 8.2 KH 12 calcium 470 however although they do swim fine when they want they spend alot of time swimming vertically up and down the back of the tank (like there diving) and not side to side (like most fish lol), is this normal for new clowns ? are they just adapting to their new tank ? i was told by the fish shops marine expert it was when i rang earlier but i just really wanna make sure 100% as if they die my daughter will kill me lol

Things in my tank

4 hermit crabs
1 boxer shrimp
2 Crabs (no idea what sort came with live rock)

Ill be greatful with any help thank u

Typical Clownfish syndrome hahaha. They are fine don't worry. Most tank bred clowns will prefer the glass walls over a squishy Anemone, Torch coral, Frogspawn etc. I have a pair that only hosts the front right corner of the tank. I tried a Condylactis Anemone in there, but they showed no interest. You may have better luck than me though so it could be worth a shot, and just may get them out of the corner.....

I do agree with BLKBRDTA clown fishes are pretty strange behavin critters. My tomato clown is OCD on a hairy mushroom and I have 3 BLT anemones in the tank and it doesnt even touch them.
