We have a maroon Clown who seems to be doing great. I wanted to put an anemone in the tank for him to host, so we got one. Instead of going for the Anemone, Flo (that's what we named the Clown) decided they wanted to host the open brain coral instead. I did some research and saw that it wasn't uncommon, so I paid no mind to it. but over the last two days, I have noticed Flo is now trying to do the same thing to my Bubble Coral. Is this normal for them to move from place to place?

i have had clowns host BTA's and urchins. also hosted BTA and crabs or 2 anemonies

Yes it is normal for True Percula, Onyx, Tomato, Maroon, wild caught Clowns etc. to host multiple items regularly. I have seen them move around from BTA's to Frogspawns to Xenia to even Mushrooms hosting. Nothing to worry about, standard clown behavior. Tank bred False Perc's on the other hand, usually host corners and walls, and are obsessed with their own image (I think they keep themselves company.) Its a bit harder getting them to host something.

Yes, clownfish can try hosting in multiple corals at once or switch hosts if they find a better one.
