Default Anemones and cleaner shrimp

Does anyone know if an anemone will eat a cleaner shrimp? Just asking this bc I just put a cleaner shrimp in my tank and last time i seen it was hanging out near my anemone, went to cook dinner and came back shrimp is now gone and have not seen him since. Just hope he is hiding in the live rock some where, this ever happen to anyone else? If anyone has any answers to this question would love to hear them...

It may have eaten your shrimp, but I wound venture to say that it is more likely hiding or Molting. Anemone's normally live off of photosynthesis and what ever they are lucky enough to catch floating arround I occassionaly feed mine shrimp and they will close up on it to take it in.

I have a green BTA and a curly q anemone. They seem harmless towards my cleaner shrimp. In fact, it loves to steal food from them. Always seems to get away just fine.
