Default BTA with Ocellaris?

I just bought a BTA from the LFS that i work at and i already have 2 ocellaris clowns in my 55 that have been there for a couple months now and I'm pretty sure that they are not known to host with this species of anemone but i was wondering if anyone has ever gotten these fish to host with this type of cnidarian?

Here's a pic of my new anemone, only been in for a couple hours. Pardon the crappy quality, only a camera phone

I have a pair of Ocellaris clown that host on my BTA's. It may take some time, but they should eventually find it and host in it. Sometimes it helps to put a picture of a clownfish being hosted by a BTA to speed up the process. Worked within a few days for me.

That BTA looks to be in pretty rough shape. Make sure you spot feed it every 3-7 days until it gains it's full color back.

Yeah I know, it's only been in the tank for a couple hours in that shot though. It also wasn't under direct light at the LFS i got it from btw. But since last night it moved to where t felt more comfortable i guess and looks more inflated and took some food from me.

Thanks for the heads up pogo, that makes me feel a lot better about having my clownfish. I really hope that they move in soon. Does putting a picture there really work or are you just messing with me?

It really does work. I was skeptical myself when I first heard of taping a picture to the tank's glass, but after having my clowns in my tank for 6+ months without going anywhere near my BTAs, I decided to give it a try. My wife thought that I was crazy and I made sure I did it when I wasn't expecting anyone to come over to our house for a while. Within a week my first clown started hosting in the BTA and then the second one started hosting a couple weeks later.

I just did a quick search and here is a link to another forum that talks about using a picture to get your clown to host.
