Default problem with clowns eating.

I and my girlfriend have both had clowns in our nanos and they never seem to eat, leading to their death. we've tried flake and brine. is there something that were missing? any help would be great. thanks

What are your water parameters? How long did you have them?

can't remember the first one but the second the water parameters were all at zero, ph was at 8.1 (a tiny bit low i believe) and the salinity was at 1.022-1.023. we had him for about a week.

my clowns had problems to it could be caused by stress i had to damsels that were pretty mean i put the damsels in my qt and the clowns seem to eat after that

he's with one other fish but it didnt bother him when he was trying to eat..
