Default Bubble anemone looks nasty and shreading

I have had my my bubble anemone for about a month. The nano cube has been established for three to four months. The crazt thing avoids light, hangs swinging in the current under rocks and looks nasty. Today I noticed that it is comming apart and sending pieces all over the tank. What is the deal here? The thing is still hanging on the rock. Have tested the water and everything checks out. These are crazy things...does anyone have any experiance with this kind of thing?

Might have had the foot messed up when purchased or at some other point. Once that happens, they don't have a good survival rate. If the whole body is disintegrating, you need to get it out of the tank asap. However, keep in mind that they poop out their mouth. So when it looks unhealthy and the mouth is wide open, it might just be dispelling waste.

The thing started coming apart like tufts of cotton. I discovered that the stupid thing parked right over my emerald crab. I bet he started picking on it and then it started to die. I should have gotten it out of the tank. I did not follow someone’s advice.....my diamond head goby got into it and he was found dead on the bottom this afternoon. what a bummer! No more anemone's for me!
