I'm a proud papa!!
After losing my first two fish a couple weeks ago, I brought two new kids home last night. Two Perc Clowns, one about 1.25" and one about 1.50". They are dark rich orange, so much deeper than my last pair which were a pale orange. My others were probably just about 1" because being a newb I was thinking small tank small fish.
Best part, my other fish paid zero attention to my long tentacle anemone. Well I woke up this morning to both of my new clowns snuggled up tight in it. This is BY FAR the highlight of my short reefing career!
I was starting to get down on my tank keeping ability and this hobby after not being able to sustain a pair of supposedly one of the easiest saltwater fish for more than 2 weeks. But seeing the the clown/anemone magic this morning, it's all worth it! I would now compare this hobby to golf. Hate it, hate it, nothing is going right, I'm never playing again and then all of a sudden you hit one perfect shot that makes it all worth it and fun/exciting again.
