Default Clown killing Goniopora

For some reason my clown has taken to my goniopora ( flower pot) and is killing it by not letting it come out and get sufficient light. I suppose my question is has anyone ever chnged what a clown has accepted as it's host. I think i'm going to try an move the flower pot and replace it with something. I've read that clowns will swim in hammer corals, and i would rather do that because anemones can move around and kill corals. Suggestions?

i would use a Lg toadstool the hammer or bubble coral would work but the it could kill that two, also how long have you had your gonipora? is it hard to take care of? also what kind of clown is it?

Actually once your anemone finds its "spot" you'll be ok. I suggest a BTA - they're the hardiest and many species of clowns will host. Substituting things like bubble corals or toad stools, etc are really not good ideas. If it "don't happen" in nature, don't do it.

Yeah i can definitly see the reason in that. I'm just nervous about having two anemones roaming around my tank, because i allready have one that my maroon clown has taken too. I'm either going to get another BTA or take the goniopora back to my LFS and see if they can save it i think.
