So for the past couple of weeks my rock anemone has been acting funny. He has been extending his trunk, folding up at weird times, bending over, all sorts of weird things. But tonight I came home from work and found him "expressing" himself. He had some long strand of brown discharge coming from his mouth. I feed him about every three days raw deviened shrimp. He sits directly under a 175W 14k MH. I am getting concerned. Hopefully this link will work and someone can help me out.

I have been told that is natural and it is just pooping. But on a sad note thats what my anemone looked like just before it died...

I have seen this on condys and bubbles, i dont believe its a sign of good health, I only say that because I have never seen it on any i own;

I have seen this with tanks that i think lighting was suspect and the Anemone went into a cave. Water quality is a must with these guys but it could just be pooping, in any event I havent seen it with 5 months of my 120 running and healthy inverts
