I bought a clown from my local store but he couldnt tell me if it was a false or true percula clown, Just wondering if there is any signs or difference's i should look for to tell me if it is a false clown or true.

A true percula typically have three white bars and black strips next to the bars. The black stripes can vary in thickness. I think they also have 9 or 10 spines on their dorsal fin.

A false percula has three white bars as well, but the black strips may not be present or are usually thin. The dorsal fins on a false perc typically has 11 spines.

its all good, The clown has taken to it and cant leave the anemone alone.
