I've had my LTA/maroon clown for about 4 or 5 years.This last week the anemone started to shed some tenticles. Is this a normal thing or somthing I should start investigating? The tank is a 90gal w/250watt MH(10k)All water params are perfect (0,0,0,pH 8.4 Cal 400 8dKH 0p04).

thats a good question. i cant help you on that one..but...you have had the same clown and same anenome for 4-5 years?? they live that long? thats cool if they do cuz i have a white long tentacle anenome and a maroon clown.

i never knew an anenome could move around a tank so much. i was worried yesterday...it moved over to my side of the couch but it was flipped over upside down, all shriveled up, and really tiny. next thin i know...its right side up, opened completely and huge...why do they do that? i mean..it really looked bad.

Im sure if you keep your tank running good they can live quite a long time.
Fishhead Junkie; My LTA moves maybe 2-3 times a year and I have no clue why.He also shrinks and expands.I know what you mean, it can be alarming when they shrivel up,mine does the same thing.
when I got mine it was white,then it turned cream color.Under the MHs it is whiteish/cream,under the actinics it's bright green ,very cool.
