ok well my bta finally split and now they are small and only one will hold the brine and eat it. is there anything i can do to make the other one eat?

If you have proper lighting, they will grow and thrive without any direct feedings. Even small BTA should be able to catch and hold onto mysis or brine shrimp if you spot feed them.

I would'nt worry much, my rbta's has split 5 times (all on one rock) and they all are doing well. How long has it been since it split ? It takes time for the one that split to fully grow another mouth.
