This is going to sound funny to anyone who really knows the answer to this- but could it be a female and she is 'nesting' or feeling for a spot to lay eggs? How long have you seen this happen? And did you buy a mated pair?

The smaller one is the male.It sounds like he's doing the clown fish''waggle''.Its clown fish for ''hey baby, whats your sign''.lol.Just kidding. Its part of their mating ritual.Another sign is they will bite the rock or clean the area were they are nesting.

Ok that is what is thought about the mateing thing. And how long does an anemone have to be in a tank before they will host it?

They may never.Just depends on the fish.I don't have an anemone but mine host in just about everything in my tank.Started with my frogspwn, moved to a mushroom, they're now hosting on the bottom side of a toadstool leather.Strange little guys(lol)

It all depends on the individual fish. I have heard of some of them hosting powerheads, mushrooms, etc. etc. Strange little guys, but I think is cool to see their personalities.

Ok- you are making me laugh! (not intended for small children: but you make it sound like a couple of newlyweds...from the couch to the floor to the room to the table...)
I didn't think clowns did that. I thought once they found their spot-that was it. That was their spot-for everything. That's what I get for watching Nemo too much!
