Default Clownfish and Anemone

Yeah I know you guys have been asked this about a million times, but what is the anemone my false percula MOST likely host. A frogspawn maybe? I was hoping a condy because they are cheap and pretty, but most people say it is unlikely they will host it. Thanks for the advice!

liveaquaria.com will give you the name of what they host most of the time, just go to their site and find the fish and read the bio

I've seen them host an open brain before. Mine never looked at my frogspawn, but 2-3 days after I got my GBTA he took right to it.

Heteractis magnifica; Stichodactyla gigantea; S. mertensii. These are the natural hosts for the Occelaris clown. Unfortunately they are also the largest (up to 3 feet across) and most difficult to keep. Many times they will take to Entacmaea quadricolor (bubble tip) in an aquarium setting. The bubble tip is the least demanding anemone, but still not easy to care for. You should not attemp to keep any anemone until your tank and water parameters have been stable for at least six months, preferably a year.

And keep in mind that anemone's have special lighting requirements. I made the mistake of buying one early on and ended up losing it.

Also, there is often confusion as to whether or not clownfish "need" an anemone. The answer to that is that they do not, at least not in an aquarium setting. If your tank has only been running for a month as your info suggests, I would hold off.

these guys are picky about what suits them for protection, keep in mind tank bred clowns in my opinion would be harder to accept a anemone, if any at all, compared to one that was caught in the wild, call it instinct.
