It is advised not to add anemones to a tank for a year even though we all do. If your tank is new you run the risk of losing the anemone. Also anemones require good to strong lighting. Bigger the tank the better.

You didnt even answer my question. I was not asking about what lighting to use or what my water paramiters should be. Think before you post a reply next time. If there is anyone who could answer my question with a stragiht foward answer it would be much appreciated.

Depending on the size of the tank you should be able to have 2 different kinds just put them on oppisite sides of the tank is th BTA new or has he stayed in the same spot for awhile? they will roam the tank until they find a spot they like stick th BTA up on some rocks and when he decides to stay there add the sebea in the bottom of the tank in the sand. Jim is right about the time a tank needs to be set up before adding an anemone.

Getting back to the subject at hand -- ie. Anemone Compatability. There are no hard rules. However, anemone are aggressive, mobile and have varying levels of toxicity to others of their species. My BTA killed my Condy in my 90 gal. The BTA was a bit bigger than a softball and the condy was about 2" in diameter. I placed the BTA and Condy in opposite parts of the tank. The following morning the BTA had moved to where the condy was and had killed it. Later that day, it moved back to the other side of the tank.

| I wouldnt keep more than one species in any system/tank. Anemone's are very sensative creatures. It is difficult enough to keep just one healthy, add to the mix chemical competition between two different species and your chances of success become even lower. This is not to say it cant be done, but for the sake of the health of the animals keep just one.

You can keep what ever kind of anemenoes you want, it's your tank. I read on your bio, you have a 60g, descent size tank. How old is your tank? Ideally it should have been up and running for appx. 6 mos. Amenones need a well established, stable system to thrive. As stated above it's not advisable to keep more than one species in the same system but some people do, I wouldn't. I have a suggestion, how about one of a different color. I have a rose and a green both bta's, the contrast is very pertty. What kind of lighting you have? Bta's have the least demanding light requirements of all the clown hosting nems, still need good quality light. I'd say at least 3-4 watts per gal depending how deep it is and where it settles in the tank. Good luck. : )
