I've been researching a lot from snail to lizards to protein skimmers. Any way I came across this and hope this is where I should put it. I thought some one would read it

Unfortunately, it's not just that area that's affected. Along the coast here in So Cal we lost many of our kelp beds years ago due to chemical runoff... Too many years of mismanagement have caused a lot of damage, it's going to take years to improve the situation...

I just hope the reefs will be there for my grandkids. can u imagine growing up when all the seal or rabbits gone. and global warming mean some thing new for me now that i have researched the nets info. it amazing having acses to a computer hooked up to the net.

I was in a LFS store yesterday - one that imports a big percentage of the LR to the US. It was very interesting the permits that they had to have and regulations they have to follow.
They are starting to use more "cultured" rock, man made rock that is then seeded on the reefs, no reef destruction...

I don't think seals or rabbit are anywhere near extintion from what I have seen. If anything the populations are growing, less predators.
