HELLO EVERYBODY:
I have a problem with my fish and if anyone can help me out that will be great and highly appreciated.
So here is my problem...
I have a yellow tang that’s getting this weird red rash looking thing on one side of his body. It started on his pectoral fins and gills then later spread to his face, stomach and dorsal fin . Does anyone know what it is and how i can get rid of it?
Here’s the story...
I bought 20 hermit crabs, a curlycue Anemone, a foxface and a copperband Butterfly. I did the whole acclimation like i did to all my other healthy fish but things started to go wrong when i added these guys to my tank. The copperband died with in a week. Half of the hermit crabs were eaten by the yellow tang (that is what i thought the problem was that he ate too much crab. But i don’t know for sure). my ph dropped to 7.8, My nitrite went up to 0.25, my nitrate went up to 40, and my ammonia went up to 0.25 all with in a week. I changed the water and now my foxface has a fleshy looking patch on his stomach. It looks like is a doctor took a square shape piece of skin off his body. Its healing now but why did that happen?
Can anyone help?
