Posted 12-29-2007 at 04:42 PM by ianizaguirre

i have one already its set up i have a couple large peices of live rock in there with one horse shoe crab about 2 inchs, and one diamond spot goby which is taking pellet food .... i have a heater, bio wheel filter and a new magnet power head (Koralia) that has a flow rate of 400 GPH, 1500 L/H .. is that good? do i need another power head? and i have a couple of snails the goby is a GREAT sand sifter. o and i have some brown algea thats forming so i got about 15 snails and i have a 96 watt light with the white and blue bulbs for saltwater. and a GOOD amount of live sand

so WHAT else would you add to this tank and please give your opinions and advice..

Well first i would get rid of the bio wheels, they only make noise. You could add some feather dusters! you have to chose what you want and like, what i did is look around fish stores. http://www.liveaquaria.com/default.cfm?siteid=20
but baes on what i like, i would add maybe a clownfish, a few cardinalfish, a royal gramma, and maybe a tang

As for flow, refer to this thread I started.

And as for fish, it really all boils down to what kind of tank you are looking to build. Are you looking for a mixed reef? FOWLR? Aggressive reef?
