Tested with Elos Test Kits

Posted 01-03-2008 at 10:26 AM by RyanG

Well I tested my new tank setup with Elos test kits. I took down my entire setup including tank, stand, sump. My sump was leaking so this was a must.

Water tests:

NO2: 0
NO3:10
PO4:0.01
CA: 475
Salinty 1.022
PH: 8.22

My dKh kit is on backorder, I will test that when it comes in.

Live sand, live rock and 3 fish are all happy swimming around. All my corals are in a Red Sea max happily living in perfect water conditions.

I am not happy with my water parameters in my main 75 gallon tank and will be adjusting things to get those levels so that my corals will like them.

How do you like the Elos kits, only one I have is Mg which is not on your list. With the Mg Elos kit I found it very fast and easy to use, just not as sensitive (100ppm) as I would like. Could get that to 50ppm sensitivity by doubling the water sample size but that would make an already expensive test even more so.
