Well he is not doing good he is not eating and also now he just is seting around out in the open i think he may die soon

Now you know why they're so few people that keep Octopus. They are a difficult creature to keep alive and they are escape artists. If you don't know where to look to get information on them, start at these locations:

If hes been good for 9 months he may be dying of old age. A lot of the octopus species have short lifespans.

well when i got him we think he was about 2 months old but his kind dose live for about 2 years in tanks longer in open waters

I always HATE hearing things like that. No animal should have shorter lives in captivity than in the wild since they don't need to worry about predators and we can provide them with ideal living conditions.

yes but even ideal living conditions thre is still stuff we miss that they need
but i did 100% water change over the last 2 days and he is doing better he grab the snail to day did not eat it but he grab it im going to be puting him back in the 3 gall i think he dose good in it
