| as you know i haven't had much luck in fragging. the stores here don't really give much in the way of good instruction. honestly keith i would love to see more fragging go on with things other than pollyps ( wihch even i can do) and acroporas. any little bit helps te reefs that supply our hobby. good luck and keep me updated.

| And I can tell, K, that you would only use your most beautiful specimens so that I can sit here and be completely envious! If they just had a smiley face that just shook its head back and forth, I swear it would be on most of my posts. I think a fragging lesson would be a great idea and receive plenty of attention. | Yes I am up for that as well!

| I will start some fraggin lessons in the next couple of weeks, I just bought a new prop tank setup (37gal w/ 175watt MH) and once I go through a quick cycle I will be having plenty of room to frag some new stuff Stay Tuned ![]() |

| Keith, I'd say it is time to stop testing the temp and just go for it. I would like to watch the process since my emerald crab tore up my polyp. The pieces are still blooming and I would like to properly attach it to live rock if possible. Becky |

| I would LOVE to learn ![]()

| Keith I think this is a real great idea, I just got my first frag a zoo polyp, and I would interested in these, along with any others. I think it would be good to also include how to place them, this might also be helpful to someone new to this like myself. |

| Things are looking good with the new prop tank, I think my mini-cycle is complete and I should be able to do some fraggin lessons soon ![]() I'm as excitied as some of you guys and gals may be ![]() I dunno how video will come out with my digital camera so I think I'm going to borrow a digital camcorder from a friend and see if he wants to do some lessons as well ![]() Stay Tuned |

| i cant wait for it. I have been wanting to frag a few of my leather corals and didnt want to try it with out some good lessons first. Thank K for coming up with a great idea |

| Yes yes and yes. Very soon. I will refrain from asking questions about this with the hopes this tutorial will start soon. I have a colt coral and a fox coral growing like Krazy. Colt coral is about like a volley ball and the fox has 5 mouths on 1 flower. ( You can all tell I know nothing about this) For the past week Ive been feeding all my corals that secret food Krazy has hid in the back of his fridge. ![]() |

| Really like the frag idea |
| ||||
| both extremely easy to "frag" for the frogspawn a dremel w/cutting wheel works nice, you dont cut the "head" but you cut in between the heads, cut a stalk off and then epoxy the stalk or stalks where u want them... no pictures needed ![]() mushrooms are also very easy.. here's a link to some "reef videos" Reef Videos the mushroom fraggin video is 5 down in the 2nd row, its a good video ![]() |

| How about fragging a toadstool mushroom leather coral? I tried it, but the frag isnt growing so much, maybe it just takes time to heal.

They are simple as well, cut chunks off the cap/head, or right down the middle, I try to leave a little of the cap on the mother frag so it'll heal quicker, you can toothpick them down, glue them to rubble, many ways, and this is a pretty hardy coral so be creative and try different ways with it, out of the 15 or so I've fragged up, I've lost 3-4 of the frags.. Not bad ![]() |

| Wow I would love this idea! My polyp coral has dropped several of its little parts and I have just set them on the live rock. One is already growing and has gone from one polyp to three, the other vanished. ![]() Then my star polyp, I hope I am getting these names right! I am trying to learn them, started splitting. So I asked and some wone kind told me how to divide it. So yesterday I gain some guts and did it. This morning it seems to be ok where I set it. Having pictures or a video that I can see would really be a huge help. K you rock! ![]() Please keep us posted, I know I will use it often! |
