Default how hard is this

i would love to grow and sell frags. im disabled and the money would help care for my son and tanks. if i end up good at it anyway. just want ur thoughts, its like the oposite of buying and saleing land. lol. the land cost too much and is running out, the reefs are disapering. the idea of selling coral from frags is a wounderfull solution and i would like to be part of it one day. do u make a lot of money doing it, enough to cover the cost of thier care?

My take on it is that you might make a few bucks. If you factor in the cost of the salt, filters for the RO, bulb replacement, food & additives you are practicaly breaking even. Better to break even than keep dumping money though. Go for it.

I wish you the best of luck with trying to make a profit on a reef tank. I know of several experienced reefers that have tried it with many frag tanks and the best they could do was come close to breaking even. There is a lot of cost associated with setting up a proper reef tank and most corals grow way to slow to be able to frag them often enough to make a profit off of them.
