Default Christmas tree coral propagation

Last year around Christmas, someone said their Christmas tree coral was multiplying like crazy. Wondering what type of propagation occurs... Anyone have success in propagating or fragging it?
I got it in March and it has been holding it's own, but not getting any bigger.

Location is in sandbed at bottom of 2 foot deep 65 gal tank.
