Aint life Grand! I will pick one up in the next couple days and hopefully be set up by the end of the week. Hey, I have to get some frags!

Also want to put a plug in for Tank of the Month. I hope we can get 10 tanks posted this month. That would be awesome. Please post some pics of your tank there so we can see everybodys progress! Seeing others tanks is a great way to share ideas!
Looks like its Jim, Elliot & me for sure. My tank is the same as in pic lol. well I did finish toping it off. I have a couple frags thanks to elliot. (in my dt). I am going to place an order for some zoanthids and plan to place them in there to grow out some then I will frags and place some in mt DT.

I posted I was looking for another tank...... I found a 135 gal!! $225.00 was set on it and started thinking how long it would be before I would start that tank being that big. so i did somemore looking found a 75 gal for $75.00.I am going to try and get it drilled while it is there.

I will definalty be posting pics and updating often, everything i do with it, add to it, or frag from it will be noted in this thread.

Hopefully 3-6 months from now we will have atleast 10 ppl here with a frag tank setup, that can trade back and forth. another forum I am on did something like this they got together everyone who wanted to be involved, set the limitations. I think it was a zoa swap mainly since they can handle 2 day priority shipping. The Mods placed everyones name in a hat (kinda like christmas gift swap) and drawed names to see who swaped with who. Maybe something we can try for here at RB

they used cheap a thermas to ship in. It was winter when they did it because of this fact I dont think they had a good turnout in some locations. do it in the spring when its not to cold or hot, with proper packaging, and we could have a good turn out.

To me this would be a good way to get alot of different things in your tank without draining whats left in the fish funds account.

yeah, I plan on getting loads of pics, and possibly getting a few short vids going too.

Ill most likely frag some various colony polyps, shrooms, leather corals, maybe a brain?

mostly shrooms and polyps though.

Good lighting, Good Flow, Racks, I will more than likely be runing a protien skimmer on mine. A fuge would be a good benifit for any marine system. Pending what you have in your frag tank, what if any you feed, the bio load shouldnt be that heavy ( I could be wrong here) I will have about 40-50 lbs of LR, a fuge & RDSB.

Still have to pick up a heater, and a power head, I will put my light on the tank when Iget some frags.

that looks really good Jim. Ill probably be doing the same sort of deal, but since my tank is gonna be a lot smaller, I will probably only have 2 levels.

And for shipping, cut blocks of styrafoam about 3"x3" and then you can rubberband the rock with coral to the block and it will always float face down in the water. That is what liveaquaria does with their aquaculture corals.

Do you think my PC lights would be enough? In reality the eggcrate would be about 8"-10" under water surface.

I could see myself going Zoo crazy!!
I am going back to this ideal, with the space I have and lighting, it just makes more sense. It wont take much work or put much stress on the damsel or emerald crab.

..........ITS FRAG TIME BABY !! .....

So I got everything in, I still need to play around with the frag racks a little, For now it game on, Well with what little I have is 2 small button poylp frags, 2 small zoo frags, 1 kenya tree that is growing like a weed in the DT so it will be having babies soon, My hammer I will be fragging soon, Next up is the small zoo piece I have with about 50-65ish poylps that open and more on a side that gets little to no light, I hope to get 3-5 frags with 8-10 poylps on them to start growing out, So these will be my first frags to swap, Hopefully within a couple weeks I will have some more in there.

So here is a few pics of the new 45 gal frag tank VIA LG500 camera phone under antinic pc lighting, glass is dirty from me setting it up, I will clean it up and get a better camera for next pics......

Full frontal
