Default Brain(s) help...

I have a couple brains in my tank that when retracting their "spine or base" seems to be very unhealthy. It's hard for me to determine what to do. The lighting seems ample, couple mid halides, blue's and actinic's, they seem to prefer to be further away from the lights.. Water seems spot on clean, and supplements are added as directed, calcium, iodine, strotneium (sp)...

They still look sick...

If you have any pointers that would be appreciated...

~cheers

I'd start spot feeding it krill or mysis shrimp every couple days to help it recover.

Do you test for iodine and strontium? If not, I'd stop dosing it. Either chemical, esp. iodine, when overdosed can harm your corals.

Yes You Must Feed.feed Krill Or Mysis Or Brine, the Poor Thing Is Starved,it Needs Meats To Eat.phyto And Microvert Will Only Get Eaten If The Brain Is Open And Taking It.

I prefer Salifert kits, but LaMotte and Elos are supposed to be good as well. The bad part is that all of their Iodine and Strontium kits are expensive.
