Default mushroom splitting?

I have a couple of rocks with mushrooms on them. When I first aquired them, they looked quite normal, kind of like mini carpet anemones. Now some of the mushrooms have two "mouths" on them. Is this a form of reproduction? Are they splitting? Is there something wrong with them?

Default Re: mushroom splitting?

Its totally normal, I have some ricordia's with 5-6 mouths on them..

Sooner or later they will split, you can always take a clean razor blade and slice it through the two mouths, that will make it split for you
