Default blue mushroom??

ok so i bought a blue ear mushroom (i think thats what its called) and it has yet to open up. i bought it about 1 week ago. my lfs said it should be fine and as far as i can see its healthy, but it just wont fully open. i feed using coral-accel and coral vite. i also us DT phytoplankton, live once a week. is there something im doint wrong? all my other corals are doing great!! also my tank seems dirty but when i test the water everything is perfect. would this be the cause of a bad protein skimmer?? i have a seaclone 150 on a 65 and i understand there S*** compared to other brands. what skimmer should i look at?? thanks in advance

How high in the tank do you have it positioned? Mushrooms will open up more with less light.
Since you don't have a sump, you're pretty limited as to skimmers - AquaC Remora are very good.

yeah its all the way in the bottom of the tank, were it should be lol. it is getting a lot of light but so are my other mushrooms and those are huge. my zooanthids are higher then the mushroom and they need the same amount of light. neways should i move the mushroom into a shadded area. also it is really crunched up, is this a sign of high stress or possibly stress??
