Default Damn the bad timing

So I am still in the first week of cycling my tank with live rock and I 40 lbs of live rock in there with 160 still on the way. I was at one of my LFS and I was looking at their live rock they had gotten in and were cycling. Apparently they missed it but they have about 5-6 ricordia (sp?) mushroom heads on it. They looked in good shape but damn my tank isn't ready for this steal of a piece of live rock. Anyone think they might survive the cycling if I put it in there?

Steven

I doubt this is the last time your LFS will have ricordia. In fact, most of the time if your LFS knows you want something they can order it for you.

Yeah my main LFS stocks it and it sells for a nice price just saying this piece of live rock that is being sold at live rock price would be sold to me for 12 dollars because it's in the live rock area and wouldn't be sold to me at the coral price. It has very bumpy orange and white ricordia mushrooms on it. Just a steal that I am afraid I can't take advantage of due to bad timing... since I am cycling right now.

That's a shame. Maybe you know someone that could "hold" the rock for ya in their tank until your tank is cycled, then again, they just may hold that rock forever for you. Perhaps buy the rock, tell the other store you are moving and have them hold it for ya??? Good luck and remember there will always be another good deal.
