| Most seahorse tanks have little flow compared to a standard reef tank, so you may be able to put them in a low flow area in the corner of your tank with some rock rubble and they will attach to it on its own in about 1-2 weeks time. I typically try to hold them in place with a rubber band in a low flow area just to make sure that they don't float away, never to be found again. My low flow area consists of a rock rubble bottom and approx a 2" "wall" of LR around the rock rubble to keep the corals contained so they don't blow out of that area. Another method that works good is tying them down using the "bridal veil" method.

| Not really. Usually you would cut them off using a razor blade. If you cut the mouth, it will probably split into two.

| well, ric.s are know to not be as hardy as shrooms. i have read a lot about people who try to frag a ric, and it dies a few days later. i would just try to cut the rock and keep the peices on the rock.
