Default bleaching mushrooms

I have a green hairy mushroom rock that looked great for about 5 months but it is completly white now. Is there any way it can get its color back or at least some color? It is still alive and it opens and closes normaly but no more color. what can I do?

Can you also post your water parameters, any livestock near the mushrooms, as much info as possible on your tank, and it would be great to see a picture of the mushrooms.

i have a 20 gallon tank with about 40 or 45 punds of live rock, deep sand about 5 inches, 2 power compact lights 55watts 1 actinic and one 10,000 k, two 100 gph pumps, one 200 gph pump under the rocks, one rena 350 hangon filter, one magnum 250 , and a 1/10 horse power chiller. i have two gold stripe maroon clowns , one fire tomato clown, one yellow head goby, one engineer goby, one kauderni cardinal, two turbo snail, and a whole bunch of hermit crabs. i have many mushrooms of different colors some zooanthids a few athelias, some green finger polyps, and one piece of poriste. i make 4 galons changes every two weeks and add purple up every day i also use combovital from mark weiss kent iodine daily and f.o.r.m. liquid and dry weekly. i also use polyplab reef roids and phytoplex to feed some green mushrooms, yellow polyps and button polyps. i also have a super skimer for up to 65 gallons. i hope this helps and maybe tomorrow i'll post some pictures.

What are your parameters? what is your CA level? iodine leve? salinity? PH? nitraite? nitrate? you should not be dosing unless you are testing for it.

i do not test for iodine or ca for i dont have the tests kits for them. as for salinity it is always in its natural level of 1.024 ppt that i get from a local beach that is away from contamination and rivers and when i mix my own i try to keep it at this level.ph is always stable at a constant 8.0 or 8.3 thanks to the natural water. i do not have any problems with nitrate or nitrite because of the live rock filtration. i use iodine on a daily basis half of the sugested amount just to be sure there is no deficiency do to the protein skimming. i use a red sea berlin protein skimmer in my 55 gallon reservoir where i prosess the natural water for at least 2 weeks before using and my 20 gallon tank has a protein skimmer rated for a 65 gallon tank, that is why i dose my tank only with half the recomended dose. i do not use chemical filtration unless nessesary and there is no mecanical filtration. all my filtration is done by my live rock and uneaten food is eaten by my cleanup crew, about 50 hermits or more, a hole bunch sally lite foot, and a mated pair of coral banded shrimp. i make biweekly water changes also, but a question is still unanswered, is it posible for my mushroom to regain their color? everything else is doing fine even ricordias, green and one pink and purple, all my zooantids are doing great, and even the fish look better and better every day, so i dont think it is water.
