Default ricordea hanging by the foot

i have rics that were attached to a rock. recently two of the have been hanging on their foot. one still opens up nicely but the other one looks to be dead. how can i tell if its dead? is it a bad sign that they would just hang on their foot like that. the one that looks dead may have left a little baby. i'm not sure. i'm fairly new to reefing. i'd like some help, input, ideas. thanks. ammonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates <5, ph 8.2, cal 440, kh 8, 1.023 sg.

They should be used to the tank, but may you have a powerhead to close to them?
I know when they are dying they kind of just shrivel up and waste away. Usually they are still open when they make more of themselves.

When my shrooms split they most certainly do not open up. Mine shrivel up and are like that until about two or three days after the split is complete. I have one splitting now. When it finished ill post pictures.
